This is the book I'm currently reading,I borrowed it from my bro,which he really lend it to me so I can enhance my English.The story was kinda sad and also you can learn something from it.This guy Carl is telling a story what happened between him and his wife,he told this to his old friend name John.This story is about a man called Carl,who married to a girl name Linda.Before they both got married,Carl was a hard work guy at university and Linda was not interest in him.Then one day they both eventually got married and they both look happy.Carl worked very hard but well-paid also while his wife,Linda,worked in a small company in South-east London.Soon,Linda bought a house at Little Moreton just near the beach,church and pub.Carl worked hard even during the weekends until he doesn't have time to be with his wife.Then one day,Linda called Carl to come down to Little Moreton to see they're house that she decorated but Carl can't because he was having a meeting in Paris.Then Linda got angry and one night she didn't came home because she wants to watch cinema with his friend Mellisa.Then the next 3 nights Linda didn't come home until Carl got angry and eventually called Linda at Melissa's apartment.He told Linda that he wants to meet her at their house in Little Moreton and Linda agreed but she have to go to office party.So they both agreed to meet at the house by the sea.Carl arrived early and wait for Linda at the train station.He thought Linda might come late so he decided t o go t he house and see for himself first.He was amazed and saw an old newspaper lying on the sofa.One story interest him,the police found a body of a woman lying in the river near the place called Woodbridge.He knows where is Woodbridge because he and Linda once shop there.He waited for Linda until sometime he decided to go to the bar if she's there having a drink.But she wasn't there so he decided himself he would have a drink.Then the bar-tender namely Mary,she told Carl that she knows his wife.Then ask and question and stuff.Then eventually,Linda didn't came and Carl was thinking she might miss the train.So,Carl went back to t he house by the sea to take some rest.I have to skip some part here ok because most of them are crazy stuff like Mad Tom putting a dead fish on Carl's bed and Tom died because of drowning.For info,Tom has a brother,Bill.Tom is not mad just poor because his father and his girlfriend Jenny died.It wasn't easy for him,and he thought his girlfriend and his father one day would return from the sea as fish.The police suspect it might be Carls fault because he thinks Tom might have his wife.Then the police question him the basic one and other stuff.Then when he came back to his house by the sea,there was a person standing in the kitchen,the house was dark.Then he heard the voice,it was his wife,Linda.He thought that she come back to him.The real thing that she came back to tell Carl something,she wanted a divorce.Carl was in shock and he told her whats the problem.She told him that Carl put his job first before her,that's why Linda was hurt.Then he told her what he thought she was missing.She felt sorry for Carl and she had to report to the police that its not his fault.She was in love with another man,it was Tom's brother Bill that she's in love with.Carl left the house and left everything behind.That's the story that he told t o his friend John.Then he left the place and he left his bag containing Linda's yellow shirt and a pair of shoes.Carl left it behind because he wanted to start a new life,so of course he accidently left it behind.Not so long,John got married and bought a new house and one time when his wife was cleaning the house,she found a bag containing the yellow shirt and shoes.She told John who own this?He told her its from a friend reminding him that its easy to lose the things that he loves.
